Hiram, Ohio- The Hiram women's basketball team is continuing to look to make history at tonight's game. The women have to win two more games with only having three more games left including tonight's game against Wooster. The Terriers are 11-11 in conference, being 4-5 at home and 5-5 on the road. If the women win their game tonight they will be tied with the best record in Hiram women's basketball history. The women have lost their last three games and are looking to pull out a big win tonight.
Tonight's opponent, Wooster, is 5-16 over all, who has been averaging 61 points per game. The Terriers just beat Wooster Jan. 25th, 61-53 in overtime at the College of Wooster. The women put up a 3 point game tying shot to bring the game into over time. This spark led the women to a win. A key player the women will have to keep an eye out for from Wooster, is Lauren Hancher who is averaging 17.2 points a game.
With this win the women are even closer to making Hiram women's basketball history. If the game results in a loss for the terriers, they will have to win the last two games of their season to still make history. They next play against Oberlin at the terriers home court on Saturday. Following that game the terriers play next Wednesday against Denison at their home court.
Tip-off is at Price Gymnasium and is set to start at 6 p.m. tonight.
