A disappointing loss for the Hiram Women Terriers against the College of Wooster.

Hiram, Ohio- Hiram Women’s Basketball team falls to the College of Wooster, 65-50 at tonight’s game.  The starters were Erica Johnson, Kaylee Shockley, Allison Vannoy, Sierra Day, and Mercedes Jones. Jones won the tipoff at the start of the game. The women Terriers finished the first quarter in the lead, 13-11. The terriers struggled to get baskets in the beginning of the first quarter but improved later on.
 Mercedes Jones started the second quarter off the right way with a 2-point jumper that kept the terriers in the lead. Wooster held their own trailing behind us majority of the second quarter. Wooster found a three with 1:16 left in the quarter. Ana Gibs on Wooster hit a three pointer with .02 seconds left in the second half, which leaves Wooster in the lead 31-27 at half time.
Wooster led the start of the third quarter, where we turned over a few balls. Wooster used that to their advantage and kept their lead. The Terriers struggled to get buckets in the third quarter where Wooster ended up leading 44-27 at the end of the quarter.
The fourth quarter started off shaky for the Terriers where Lauren Hancher on Wooster had five points in 10 seconds. Towards the end of the quarter the terriers started getting baskets unfortunately they ended up falling to Wooster.
The Terriers next game is again at home on Saturday against Oberlin College.
