Women's Lacrosse's first win of the season!

Hiram, Ohio-  Women’s Lacrosse pulled out a big win today at their first home game. The score today ended up being 19-5. Starters for the women Terriers were sophomores Sierra Ray, Alyse Gillentine, Rachel Metcalf, Erica Dulka , Melissa schilling, Kristen Belleza, juniors Autumn Osgood , Kayla Jenkins , Erin Smith, Kayla Cornett, Michaela Edmond, and senior Paige Mclain .The terriers took the field ready to get their first home game as a win.

The Terriers absolutely dominated the first half having 13 goals with Olivet having only three goals. The first goal was scored with 27:56 remaining in the first half. Ray took the ball through the Olivet’s defense and scored. Shortly after multiple goals were scored and the entire rest of the half was dominated by the Terriers. Hiram's shots on goal were outstanding compared to Olivet's having 28 shots on goal and Olivet having 11 shots on goal at half time.


Terriers leading goal scorers today were Osgood and Ray with 5 goals each.  The Terriers had fantastic defense in the second half and keeping a solid offense scoring 6 goals. They ended the game with an impressive score of 19-5. 

With this big win the Terriers have a boost in their confidence and are ready to get at their next opponent. Women’s lacrosse play Wilmington college this Saturday at home again. The Terriers will be out to get another win.
